STIGA

STIGA was founded in Sweden in 1934 by Stig Hjelmquist as an importing and wholesale business and started selling lawn mowers in 1958; since 2000 it has been the flagship brand of the group now called STIGA Group (Global Garden Products until 2017), headquartered in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy, alongside Alpina, Castelgarden, Mountfield and ATCO. Its tillers are front-tine SRC petrol models with STIGA-branded engines and the rear-tine Silex rotavator with a Briggs & Stratton, sold through STIGA's own national web shops and dealers across Europe, with Poland and the UK the markets where the tillers are most visible.

STIGA SRC 685 RG

The SRC 685 RG is STIGA's mid-size front-tine petrol tiller: a STIGA-branded TM 60 four-stroke of 182 cc rated 3.5 kW net at 3,300 rpm drives six 245 mm rotors (three a side) through an oil-bath chain reduction and belt, giving an 85 cm working width and about 15 cm depth. It has two forward speeds and one reverse, a single front transport wheel, an adjustable soft-grip handlebar and protection discs for working close to trees and plot edges; STIGA quotes 60 kg. Working width is 60 cm, the handlebar is adjustable, and STIGA quotes 70 kg.
